Wachterl - Karkopf - Steinerne Agnes - Hallthurm

On the sixth and final stage of the Berchtesgaden Summit Trail, you'll cross the Lattengebirge from Wachterl to Hallthurm.

You’ll start at the Wachterl hiking parking lot and hike past the idyllic Taubensee up to the Mordaualm. Once you reach the Mordaualm, you have a choice: three mountain huts invite you to take a delightful break. On the Mitterbergsteig trail, you’ll reach the Mitterkaser service hut and continue uphill to the Törlscharte. If you’d like, you can tackle the short climb to the Törlkopf. Continue hiking along the well-defined trail to the Karkopf. If you’d like to go even higher, you can also tackle its summit. The trail leads you downhill to the Steinernen Agnes, a bizarre rock formation. Passing through the Schlafende Hexe, you descend below the Rotofensattel to Hallthurm. There, you’ll have crossed the Lattengebirge and completed the final stage of the Berchtesgaden Summit Trail.
