Our toboggan runs in the Berchtesgaden region

Sledding has a long tradition in Berchtesgaden. In the past, mountain farmers used sleds to get down into the valley quickly—today, it’s all about the thrill. And you’ll find plenty of it on miles of toboggan runs winding through snow-covered alpine landscapes.

In Berchtesgaden, you race down runs of varying lengths and difficulty levels. At “Hirscheckblitz” in Ramsau, an official mountaineering village, on “Jennerhex” in Schönau a. Königssee, and at Obersalzberg, you comfortably glide up to the summit via chairlift or cable car before the real fun begins.

Hirscheckblitz

The Hirscheckblitz natural toboggan run stretches 2.2 kilometers, winding its way down the mountain with tight hairpin turns and sweeping curves. Starting at the top station of the Hirscheck chairlift in Ramsau’s Hochschwarzeck district, you race downhill in under 15 minutes, dropping more than 400 meters in elevation—fast, exhilarating, and packed with pure alpine thrill.

Jennerhex

Big-time fun for the whole family: the sporty Jennerhex toboggan run takes you 1.4 kilometers from the top station of the Jennerbahn cable car down to Mitterkaseralm. Then hop on the Mitterkaser chairlift and glide smoothly back up—ready for the next ride.
