Berchtesgaden and the Rupertiwinkel: a cycling region made to explore

Discover the stunning cycling region between Königssee and the Rupertiwinkel. Whether in the gently rolling, flatter north or the mountainous south, the best way to experience these picture-perfect landscapes—lush meadows, crystal-clear lakes, refreshing streams and rivers, and breathtaking mountain panoramas—is on two wheels.

Ride through traditional, history-rich villages and small towns with authentic Alpine charm and distinctive Upper Bavarian architecture. If you like, pause for a moment at the many wayside shrines and small chapels along the routes—the Rupertiwinkel is exceptionally rich in them, even by European standards.
