Alpine advice, tour and hut bookings

The alpine advisors at the Alpine Information Office are available to answer questions and talk to you in person for two hours from Monday to Friday from 4 pm to 6 pm. As usual, they provide advice on weather conditions, hut bookings and questions about route selection. They will also be able to help you find a place to sleep in one of the DAV Berchtesgaden huts or advise you on booking the "Hüttenrunde Gipfelwege" package. Of course, they will also answer frequently asked questions, such as whether camping is allowed in the national park (no!), what cell phone reception is like on the mountain or where you can find the latest pictures from the webcams. From 2024, you can book guided tours directly via Alpine Information. For all DAV members, there is an offer of pre-planned weekly tours with hiking guides to the Berchtesgaden mountain huts as well as individual tours on request. Non-members can also take part for a taster and join the section if they are interested. Guided day and multi-day tours with hiking guides from the DAV Berchtesgaden section or with state-certified mountain guides are also possible.
