The experts at the Alpine Information Service are available in person for two hours each day, Monday through Friday, to answer your questions. They can advise you on current weather conditions, mountain hut reservations, and route planning.
There are plenty of questions to consider before setting out on a hike, mountain tour, or climbing adventure—from current weather and trail conditions to places to stop for food and drinks along the way. The Alpine Information Service, now a well-established institution in Berchtesgaden, is here to help. Several alpine experts are available in person Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 6 PM to answer your questions and provide advice on weather conditions, mountain hut reservations, and route planning.
Alpine Information Service in Berchtesgaden Kurgarten
You’ll find the Alpine Information Center in a very central location, right in the heart of Berchtesgaden in the Kurgarten. It is operated by the Berchtesgaden section of the German Alpine Club (DAV) in cooperation with Bergerlebnis Berchtesgaden, Berchtesgaden National Park, and the Berchtesgaden Mountain Guides Association.
