Mountain biking in Berchtesgaden, the Rupertiwinkel, and surrounding area

Welcome to Berchtesgaden, the mountain biking paradise in the Bavarian Alps: our signposted mountain bike routes open up more than 700 kilometers of paths and over 22,700 meters of elevation gain between Königssee, Berchtesgaden, and the Rupertiwinkel region. Of the 25 marked tours, 16 are loop routes. You can usually choose your starting point freely. Some tours also offer more challenging or easier variations. All routes are signposted in both directions—so you can plan your ride to suit your style or combine multiple routes.

Our mountain bike routes always follow existing paths, never off-trail. For the sake of nature, please stay on designated routes when riding your mountain bike. You won’t find downhill tracks or single trails here. All mountain bike routes are also suitable for e-mountain bikes.

Ride your bike up to alpine pastures

You can reach many alpine pasture huts in the Berchtesgaden mountains by mountain bike. After a strenuous ride, stop for a break, refuel with a hearty snack of regional specialties, and cool off with a refreshing drink.
