A challenging, long, and steep mountain bike tour with fantastic views down to Königssee, which rewards you at the finish with an unparalleled view across the expansive Gotzenalm to the east face of the Watzmann and a stop for refreshments at the Gotzenalm mountain restaurant.

From the Berchtesgaden train station, the tour leads over the Faselsberg to Hinterbrand. From there, the route continues via the beautiful Königsbachalm and Büchsenalm to the Gotzentalalm. Here begins a strenuous climb to the Gotzenalm. In return, you’ll be rewarded at the expansive alpine pasture with views of the mighty east face of the Watzmann with Lake Königssee below, the Steinerne Meer range with the Übergossener Alm, and the Teufelshörner peaks. At the alpine hut there, cyclists can recharge their energy and head back down the same route.
