Mobility in Berchtesgaden
As an overnight guest, you’ll receive a Guest Card. With it, you can explore the region around Berchtesgaden, Bischofswiesen, Marktschellenberg, Ramsau, and Schönau a. Königssee conveniently and for free by bus. In addition, you can use the entire bus network of Regionalverkehr Oberbayern (RVO) for free — with a few exceptions: the Kehlstein line, the ALMErlebnisBUS, and trips to Rossfeld (toll). For trips to Salzburg, you pay a surcharge for a round trip: 7 Euro for adults and 3.50 Euro for children up to 14 years old.
It’s very easy: The Deutschlandticket is also valid on regional buses—subject to the exceptions listed above.
With the Berchtesgaden Guest Card, you can also ride the trains of the Bayerische Regiobahn for free from Berchtesgaden or Bischofswiesen via Bad Reichenhall all the way to Salzburg.
