Berchtesgaden ambassadors

  • Alexander und Thomas Huber: Individually, each ranks among the world’s best professional climbers. Together, the Huber brothers form one of the strongest climbing partnerships of our time. Their greatest achievements include speed records in California’s Yosemite Valley, the first free ascent of the Eternal Flame route on Nameless Tower in Pakistan at 6,251 meters, and numerous first ascents in their home mountains, the Berchtesgaden Alps.

  • Anton Palzer: Anton “Toni” Palzer was born in Ramsau near Berchtesgaden. The mountains of his Bavarian homeland have always been his playground: in winter, he celebrated major successes as a ski mountaineer, while in summer he competed internationally as a mountain runner. In 2021, Toni switched to WorldTour cycling and raced at the sport’s highest level for five years.
