Bischofswiesen - Scheibenkaser - Kugelmühle

Stage 5 starts at the Watzmannstube / Tourist Information bus stop in Bischofswiesen. Head toward Neuwirtbrücke and turn onto Aschauerweiherstraße. Follow the road for about 300 meters, looking for the sign toward Rauher Kopf and Stöhrhaus. At the turnoff for Rauher Kopf, continue straight ahead. The trail winds gently uphill below the Rauhe Köpfe peaks. Farther up, the trail splits toward Stöhrhaus. Keep toward Scheibenkaser and the Ettenberg parking lot, following the Roßlandersteig to Scheibenkaser. Sure-footedness and a head for heights are required here.

Then descend toward the Ettenberg parking lot. Shortly before reaching the parking lot, follow the signs for Theresienklause. Hike past lush meadows with the Untersberg massif rising to your left before entering the dramatic Almbachklamm gorge. Follow the signs to Theresienklause, then continue through Almbachklamm to Kugelmühle, the destination of today’s stage.
