The Hirscheckblitz: The natural toboggan run in the mountaineering village of Ramsau offers rapid downhill fun on natural snow and - thanks to the Hirscheck chairlift - a relaxed ascent!

The spacious Hirscheckblitz toboggan run is regularly groomed. Over a downhill run of 2.2 km, the Hirscheckblitz covers a difference in altitude of over 400 m. The ascent is made with the Hirscheck chairlift or on foot via a separate route. The ascent takes approx. 1.5 hours and the descent takes approx. 15 minutes. Difficulty level: medium to difficult.

Hirscheckblitz: Suitable for small children to a limited extent

The Hirscheckblitz is only suitable for small children to a limited extent; the gradient of the toboggan run is between 14% and 22%. There are a total of 16 bends to master, some of which are very tight. Right after the start, a challenging S-curve combination awaits the toboggan riders. Here, the speed has to be well measured. The sledgers repeatedly cross the chairlift track. Now comes a long straight that ends in a sharp right-hand bend. Some sections are secured with safety nets so that no one overshoots the toboggan run. After a long gliding section, the wild ride ends at the Hirscheckbahn valley station. Practical and safe: if you have to wait for your companions, you can park your toboggan in a waiting bay and thus endanger neither yourself nor other tobogganists.

Tobogganing legend Schorsch Hackl was involved in the development of the toboggan run's route profile and contributed his many years of experience. The Hirscheckblitz toboggan run is designed to offer nature, fun, adventure and sporting activity in an open environment. And with a bit of luck, you will meet Schorsch Hackl himself while tobogganing on the Hirscheckblitz!

Toboggan rental at the valley and mountain station

For those who don't have their own toboggan, there is a toboggan rental service with over 250 toboggans available at the valley and mountain stations of the Hochschwarzeckbahn. A valid identity card is required as a deposit for the rented toboggan! The toboggan run can be used free of charge. So even tobogganists who walk up the wonderful winter trail don't have to miss out on a subsequent tobogganing experience downhill. As the toboggan run is exclusively for tobogganists and there are no ski tourers, pedestrians or skiers on the run, the Hirscheckblitz is also great fun for beginners, families with children, school classes and groups. The toboggan run is regularly groomed by snow groomers.
