Rossfeld ski area

Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains around Berchtesgaden and Salzburg as you ski at Rossfeld. The most snow-reliable family ski area in the Berchtesgaden region welcomes you with wide-open, gentle slopes that are easy to reach via Rossfeld Panorama Road.

At Rossfeld, you’ll find nothing but natural snow and beautifully groomed slopes. Four ski lifts serve Berchtesgaden’s most snow-reliable family ski area, offering plenty of fun for skiers and snowboarders. If you’re an experienced skier, you can race down the six-kilometer valley run to Oberau or the neighboring Zinken ski area in Austria. A ski shuttle runs between Oberau and Rossfeld. With the Oberau–Rossfeld–Zinken ski pass, you can explore a total of 15 kilometers of ski runs.

Along the way, take in spectacular panoramic views of the Berchtesgaden Alps, including Watzmann, Hoher Göll, and Untersberg, as well as Austria’s Dachstein and Tennengebirge mountains. Far below, the Salzach Valley stretches out some 1,000 meters beneath you, with the city of Mozart, Salzburg, in the distance.

With Rossfeld’s ski lifts and family-friendly slopes covered in natural snow, you’ll find the perfect setting to build your skills and confidence on skis.

Night skiing and après-ski

Thanks to floodlit slopes, you can keep carving turns well into the evening. At Rossfeld-Skihütte, enjoy traditional Bavarian dishes and a spacious sun terrace. Take in sweeping views of the spectacular Berchtesgaden Alps, stretching all the way into Austria’s Salzburg region.
