Skigebiet Rossfeld

The breathtaking panoramic view of the Berchtesgaden and Salzburg mountains forms a magnificent backdrop for the Rossfeld, the most snow-sure family ski area in the Berchtesgadener Land. The ski area with its wide ski meadows is easily accessible via the Rossfeldpanoramastrasse.

The Rossfeld is undoubtedly the most snow-sure family ski area (exclusively natural snow) in Berchtesgaden. Four ski lifts provide access to the perfectly groomed pistes for skiers and snowboarders. Experienced skiers will find the 6-kilometre-long valley run to Oberau or to the neighboring Zinken ski area (AUT) very interesting. A shuttle ski bus runs between Oberau and Rossfeld and, with the Oberau - Rossfeld - Zinken ski pass, includes a total of 15 km of pistes. Skiers and sun-seekers are rewarded with impressive panoramic views of the Berchtesgaden Alps (Watzmann, Hoher Göll, Untersberg) and the Austrian mountains (Dachstein, Tennengebirge), as well as the Salzach Valley 1000 m below with the Mozart city of Salzburg.

Family tip: Berchtesgaden Oberau ski school

The Berchtesgaden Oberau ski school is a professional ski school of the German Ski Instructors Association with the "kids on snow" license. In cooperation with the Rossfeld ski lifts, the family-friendly natural snow ski area, the ski school offers relaxation, fun and learning success in the snow!

Floodlit skiing and après-ski

Thanks to floodlights, you can enjoy skiing well into the evening. Traditional Bavarian dishes are served in the Rossfeld ski hut with its large sun terrace. From here, the view sweeps over an impressive mountain landscape with panoramic views of the Berchtesgaden Alps and far into Salzburger Land.
