Zehnkaser

Tucked away just off the well-known Stöhr Trail on Untersberg, Zehnkaser is a peaceful place to take a break on your way to Stöhrhaus. From here, you'll enjoy magnificent views of Watzmann and Hochkalter. During the summer months, Zehnkaser offers simple seasonal service for hikers.

Zehnkaser and Scheibenkaser

Zehnkaser and Scheibenkaser on Untersberg can only be reached on foot. The only path connecting the two alpine pastures is a narrow, alpine hiking trail that is exposed in places. This makes managing the two alpine pasture huts particularly challenging for Lusabether, the alpine farmer who tends them.

The traditional cattle drive in the fall is equally challenging. Moving the livestock from the high alpine pasture at Zehnkaser down to the lower alpine pasture requires experience, sure-footedness, and careful planning.
