In the Footsteps of Salt: From the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine to the Haus der Berge
A leisurely themed hike along the route of the 1817 brine pipeline. The trail offers beautiful views of the historic center of Berchtesgaden and the magnificent mountain scenery. The hike begins right at the salt mine, leads through the Nonntal valley to the Weinfeld, and continues over the brine pipeline footbridge to the Haus der Berge. A detour to the Kirchleit’n Chapel at the Weinfeld is well worth it!
