On the trail of salt from the Berchtesgaden salt mine to the House of Mountains
A leisurely themed hike along the route of the brine pipeline from 1817, offering beautiful views of the historic center of Berchtesgaden and the magnificent mountain scenery. The hike begins directly at the salt mine, leads across the Nonntal valley to the Weinfeld and on across the brine pipeline footbridge to the Haus der Berge. A detour to the Kirchleit`n chapel on the Weinfeld is well worthwhile!
