Family hike in Marktschellenberg

This picturesque family hike in Marktschellenberg begins at the historic Salinenplatz, the heart of the town. From there, follow the main street to the old Berchtesgadener Straße and cross the bridge over the Berchtesgadener Ache. Just before the Marktschellenberg outdoor pool, you’ll leave the town behind and climb up to Friedensberg. After walking along a sandy path and through a small wooded area, a breathtaking panorama will unfold before you. At the Friedensberg Chapel and the Schellenberger Hof with its idyllic pond, you can enjoy a break that engages all your senses. Follow Ettenberger Straße back to the center, where you can finish your hike with a stroll through the historic village center and a relaxing stop for food and refreshments.
