Leave the hustle and bustle behind
The 14-minute chairlift ride up to Hirscheck is your chance to leave the hustle and bustle behind. At the top, an unforgettable panorama awaits you at an elevation of 1,390 meters. Your gaze sweeps from Hoher Göll and Hohes Brett across Hagengebirge and all the way to Watzmann. The mighty Wimbachtal separates the king of the Berchtesgaden Alps from the almost equally imposing Hochkalter massif. Reiter Alm and the Lattengebirge complete the panoramic view. Take a short walk to the nearby summit of Toter Mann or simply relax on the spacious sun terrace.
The Hochschwarzeck chairlift
In the late 1960s, industrialist Willy Schlieker developed the Hochschwarzeck ski area. After challenging times and several changes of ownership, the lift is now owned by residents of the mountaineering village of Ramsau. Shares in the company, now organized as a GmbH & Co. KG, are widely held by private individuals and businesses, most of them based in Ramsau.
