Aschauerweiher: Germany's largest natural swimming pool
There has been a swimming area at Aschauerweiher since 1880. Following extensive renovations in 2002 and 2003, it became Germany's largest natural swimming pool. The swimming pond blends so seamlessly into the surrounding landscape that it feels more like a natural lake than a man-made outdoor pool. That's what makes Aschauerweiher so special! More than 12,000 plants in dedicated regeneration zones keep the water clean through natural filtration and self-purification processes.
