The Hillebrand family puts their heart and soul into running this historic inn at the entrance to the Berchtesgaden National Park. Only regional products are used in the kitchen. Roast pork and beef are prepared fresh daily in the 150-year-old wood-fired oven and served in the cozy farmhouse parlors.
The Auzinger: meeting place for artists and musicians
The Auzinger is located on the Hintersee in the mountaineering village of Ramsau. Romantic painters discovered this idyllic landscape at the foot of the Hochkalter in the 19th century. The Auzinger became a popular meeting place for artists. The Ramsau Painters' Trail follows in the footsteps of famous landscape painters from the village center through the enchanted forest to Hintersee and finally to the Auzinger inn.
The Hillebrand family set the tone here, and not just in the kitchen: The Wirtshaus Auzinger is not only known for its good down-to-earth cuisine, but is also a popular meeting place for folk musicians. The host family itself also takes part in the folk music evenings, as everyone from the senior chef to the grandchildren are enthusiastic singers and musicians.

"We welcome you to the Gasthof Auzinger in the mountaineering village of Ramsau, right next to the Berchtesgaden National Park. Whether for lunch, coffee and cake in the afternoon or on one of our music evenings - enjoy our typical Bavarian inn. Our ingredients are fresh and come from the region, we cook and bake everything ourselves. You can taste it! Especially with our roast pork, which comes from the over 100-year-old wood-fired kitchen oven. Once you've tried it, you'll come back again and again."
