Who hasn’t heard of the world’s first artificial ice track, where winter sports stars compete each winter? Sledding has a long tradition in Berchtesgaden. You can experience the thrill of speed in summer, too, on the summer toboggan run at Obersalzberg near Gasthof Hochlenzer—great fun for adventurers young and old.
Brake too soon and you lose!
The little ones can ride on Mom or Dad’s sled, while the older kids chase the best times. For a much more leisurely ride, take the little red gondolas of the nostalgic Obersalzbergbahn up to the summer toboggan run. After a quick transfer at the mid-station, the journey continues to the summit station. From there, it’s just a few steps to the summer toboggan run, which you can also reach by car.
