Die Obersalzbergbahn
With the cable car to over 1,000m- Heute geschlossenBerchtesgaden
Directly from the village into the healthy mountain air! This is made possible by the Obersalzbergbahn, which opens up the hiking area on the Obersalzberg and transports you to the starting point of the Hochlenzer summer toboggan run and various inns in an environmentally friendly way.
The mountain beckons - and fortunately there is the Obersalzbergbahn for hikers who like to take it a little easier! With the historic Obersalzbergbahn, built in 1949, you can enjoy the healthy mountain air without too much effort and do something for your circulation. The Obersalzbergbahn opens up a large number of hiking trails at an altitude of around 1,000 meters.
Summer toboggan run on the Obersalzberg
The 600-metre-long Hochlenzer summer toboggan run is just 100 meters from the Obersalzbergbahn mountain station. Three steep bends, six easier bends and two jumps caused by built-in waves ensure the right level of adrenaline on the 600-metre-long run.
Winter on the Obersalzberg
In winter, you can whizz down into the valley on a natural toboggan run (toboggan rental). An ideal excursion destination for families! Or you can visit the Gutshof-Obersalzberg family ski area with its 5 lifts and 2.6 kilometers of groomed slopes. There is also a ski and snowboard school with rental facilities in the ski area. Or you can learn ski mountaineering, the healthy and natural form of skiing, in the Salewa ski touring park.
On the Carl-von-Linde trail to historical sites
The Carl-von-Linde Trail runs almost flat along the Obersalzberg. Several restaurants along the route invite you to stop for a bite to eat. But the dark chapter in Obersalzberg's history is not neglected either. It is only about two kilometers to the Obersalzberg documentation and the bus departure point to the Eagle's Nest. Or you can hike to the middle station of the Jennerbahn and take the cable car back down to the valley.
