The animals spend a large part of their lives in the meadows and on the mountain pastures in the Berchtesgaden National Park before they are slaughtered and processed. Particular attention is paid to the welfare of the animals, which are treated with respect in order to allow them to live in a manner appropriate to their nature.

Fresh food without convenience products

All dishes are prepared fresh and without ready-made products, with particular attention paid to locally sourced food. In addition to the restaurant's own beef, homemade apricot schnapps and bacon and sausage products from the restaurant's own production are offered. 110 people can be seated in the dining room and 60 people on the terrace. Various events such as family celebrations, civil weddings, funerals, birthday parties, Christmas parties and company events are offered.

The Bodnerlehen is more than just an inn, it is also a guest house. 4 vacation apartments in the farmhouse, first mentioned in a document in 1386, allow guests a breathtaking panoramic view of the Berchtesgaden mountains.
