Music–views–cuisine
Gerstreit is not only known for its cuisine and legendary views, but also for its music. Folk music traditions have been cherished here for generations. Even today, during the summer months, a local folk music group performs authentic Bavarian folk music for guests at the Gerstreit every Sunday and on holidays.
The Berggasthof Gerstreit is located directly along Soleleitungsweg, the high-altitude panoramic trail in the mountaineering village of Ramsau. With virtually no incline, this trail runs along the sunny side of the Berchtesgaden valley and offers sweeping views of the mountains across the valley along its entire length. The view into the Wimbachtal valley is particularly impressive. The trail is cleared of snow in winter and is therefore accessible year-round.
