My vacation apartment MARIA-WIES is located in the heart of Schönau, in a central, sunny and yet quiet location. From the south-facing balcony you have a wonderful view of meadows, forests and the mountains. In only five minutes walk you reach the center of Schönau, where you will find the tourist information (Haus des Gastes), the church, shopping facilities, restaurants, graduation house and the Kneipp facility. You can reach the bus stops and the bakery (also open on Sundays and delivery service) in five to ten minutes. The picturesque Königssee and the new Jennerbahn are about 2.5 km away. The Jenner is a very popular hiking destination in summer and the largest ski area in Berchtesgaden in winter. Also in winter there are over 100 km of cleared hiking trails for wonderful walks and you can reach the cross-country ski trail in five to ten minutes on foot.
