Travel by bus and train
IC Königssee German Rail's InterCityExpress train: Direct connection between Hamburg Altona and Freilassing, Bad Reichenhall and Berchtesgaden.
Coming from Austria take the Westbahn to Salzburg and change to the Berchtesgadener Land Bahn (BLB) to Bad Reichenhall/Bayerisch Gmain or Berchtesgaden via Freilassing.
Bayern Ticket: take the Meridian or RB from Munich to Freilassing and change to Berchtesgadener Land Bahn (BLB) to Bad Reichenhall/Bayerisch Gmain or Berchtesgaden. Price starting at 23 €.
Easy arrival by car
Take the Autobahn München-Salzburg A8 from Munich and continue on good secondary roads. Please note: if you are arriving on the A8 from Munich, we suggest you take the exit Bad Reichenhall. Continuing through Austria requires a "vignette", which is a toll-road sticker.

Transportation of bicycles on the trains
In the local Berchtesgadener Land Bahn trains the transportation of bicycles is free. Please note: if trains are very crowded, the railway personnel will decide if bikes can be brought.
Alpine Experience Bus (ALMErlebnisBUS)
Starting at the bus stop Hintersee in the mountaineering village Ramsau and following along the Alpine pastures of Klausbachtal valley (End of May until the beginning of October).
Teisendorf Municipal Bus (Gemeindebus Teisendorf)
