The Berchtesgaden advent season is characterized by spirited traditions and passend on customs. At the Christmas market stalls you can discover the original Berchtesgaden Christmas tree decorations, manufacted according to the folk art that has been done for centuries.

The historical town center of Berchtesgaden with its decorated private town-houses creates a unique ambiance for the ''Christkindlmarkt '' ( Christmas market ). Framed by the royal castle the town brass ensemble brings visitors in the mood for Christmas.
